The Diocese of Pittsburgh mandates that 10-15% of a school’s operating budget be raised through fundraising. For John F. Kennedy Catholic, this equates to approximately $200,000 a year. To meet this fundraising goal, each family is responsible for raising/contributing $400 during the school year. There are many opportunities for each family to reach their Fair-Share Fundraising requirement, often without any out of pocket expenses. Any moneys raised in excess of the school’s Diocesan mandate may be used for special projects and renovations to the school.
