The Morning Care & After Care Programs as JFK Catholic School were created with working parents and busy families balancing the needs of all family members in mind. For a small hourly fee, families can rest assured that their child(ren) are in a safe and nourishing environment outside of the normal school hours.  

• Regular hours of operation for Morning Care are 6:45-7:45 a.m. and After Care is 2:45-6:00 p.m. The After Care program ends promptly at 6:00p.m.  A $1.00 per minute charge will be incurred after 6:00 p.m. 
• There are a limited number of spots available each day, therefore, you must register online to secure a spot. If you register and do not use the service, you will be billed, so be sure to go to the website to delete your spot. 
• Families using the program on a regular basis will have 1st priority. If there is a last minute change in plans, please notify the school office by 2:00p.m. at 724-225-1680 ext. 2, so teachers, staff, your child(ren), and afternoon announcements can be adjusted to the change and dismissal for your child goes smoothly.      
• The yearly registration fee for one child is $25.00, and the family rate is $35.00. This registration form must be complete before you use Extended Day services. The fee must be paid on FACTS before using the Extended Day Program. Completion of this form implies permission to charge the aforementioned fee on FACTS.
• All charges for the Extended Day Services will be billed on FACTS. Please make all payments online. Questions regarding charges, once billed, should be directed to aftercare@jfkcatholic.com

To sign up for a spot for Morning Care or After Care, please go to https://signup.com/go/jCVZSPz  prior to using this service.  If you sign up and do not use the service, your sign up will be billed for the time and day you reserved the spot. You must cancel 24 hours in advance on signup.com. The program follows the school calendar.  When school is closed for any part of the day the program is closed. Morning Care & After Care will begin on the first day of school which is August 24, 2023.
 

• Morning Care is held in the library of the school. Students should enter the building using the door by the flagpole no earlier than 6:45 a.m.  If the school is on a 2 hour delay, Morning Care drop off will be at 8:00 a.m. weather permitting.
• After Care will meet in the school library at dismissal. The After Care Program begins with a gathering time, group prayer, followed by snack (which you provide) and outdoor playtime if weather and conditions permit.  After Care students will transition to the playground or the yellow brick/former middle school building where the After Care classrooms are located.  Please use the security system on the front of the middle school doorbell located on the left side of the glass doors if students are not on the playground.  Your child will be brought out to you.
• If school closes early do to an emergency or severe weather or if weather conditions become severe during After Care, parents should pick up their child(ren) as soon as possible.

Children are entitled to a pleasant and harmonious environment.  The After Care program cannot serve children, who display disruptive behavior.  If a child cannot adjust to the setting and behave appropriately, the child will be discharged.

Parents are responsible to keep all contact information current for contact and billing purposes. For our information and your child's safety, we must have on record who will be picking up your child(ren).  If the person picking up your child(ren) is not listed on your registration form, you will need to send a note in writing (via paper note, email to aftercare@jfkcatholic.com, or text message) that day to notify the staff.  Without this in writing the staff cannot release your child(ren). Identification will be required for the person picking up your child(ren).
