Fundraising is an essential part of Catholic Schools, and we ask all of our families to take an active role in our fundraising efforts. Fundraising events at our school provide a special way to build community as well as a way to keep our school financially strong. We undertake fundraising to do our best to keep tuition as low as possible for our families and assist with the operating costs of our schools. By participating in the school community, you have a direct impact on the school’s vitality and continued success.
The Diocese of Pittsburgh and the South Regional Catholic Elementary Schools have a policy that all schools must follow regarding the school’s operating budget. At our schools, around sixty-six percent (66%) of our operating costs come from tuition, twenty-two percent (22%) from regional subsidy, twelve percent (12%) from fundraising, and the remaining amount is derived from general donations.
